How to Create an Opportunity

Opportunities are the driving force of the RFMS Customer Relationship Management app. This article will cover how to create opportunities with new or existing customers.

Create an Opportunity by:

Searching for an Existing Customer
  1. Tap the orange plus icon, orange_plus_icon.png ,in the bottom right of the screen. 
  2. Enter customer or business name and select Begin Search.

  3. Tap or click to select the customer from the search results.

  4. A new opportunity will then automatically be added to the top of the list in the To Do stage. To Open an Opportunity, tap or click on the opportunity card.

Adding a New Customer

  Tip: Search first to be sure that the customer doesn’t already exist in your customer file.

    1. Tap the orange plus icon, orange_plus_icon.png, in the bottom right of the screen.
    2. Select Add New.

    3. The customer information dialog box will open. Tap the expansion arrow to show more information.

    4. Fill out the customer information. Tap or click the Add button to add the customer to your RFMS customer file and create a new opportunity. The opportunity will automatically be added to the top of the To Do stage list. To Open an Opportunity, tap on the opportunity card. new_customer_info.png

 Tip: It is best practice to always add the address when creating the customer

Filling out the Customer Information Dialog

When adding a new customer it is best practice to include their full address at this time. When you add the new customer your RFMS database will automatically update to reflect that a new customer has been added.

A: Define the Customer Type selecting from the options in the dropdown box.
B: Search your stores existing pool of cities and zip codes.
