Accepting Payment Using a CardPointe Integrated Terminal

This article will cover how to take a credit card payment using a CardPointe Integrated Terminal. These can be used with any platform that RFMS Mobile works on. This includes Android, iOS, Windows devices, or RFMS Online web browser.

 Note: Be sure you are running RFMS Mobile 2.0.25 at minimum

Take Payment and Include Sharable PDF Document:

1. Open an order and tap

     Tip: Taking a signature is optional. If signature is given it is simply applied to the PDF document. Tap Accept to continue with or without one.

2. Select entry method: Insert/Swipe Card
3. Tap button that has icon and says Start Card Reader.

     Tip: If your device was connected with a Bolt Mobile terminal use the side menu and select Switch to Bolt Card Reader
   
   

4. Choose your Bolt terminal from the drop down list. The numbers listed must match up with the numbers on the terminal. The terminal screen should say Bolted, indicating that it is connected to the internet, and the last 4 digits of the numbers on the terminal should match the one you select in the app. (Need help switching to a different terminal?)
5. The Bolt terminal screen will indicate when to insert/swipe the card. Insert with the chip facing up. The terminal will indicate when to remove card.

   

6. Enter the payment amount (a) along with the billing zip code (b) and then tap Collect (c) on the app screen to complete the transaction.

   

7. Once processed the receipt will be sent to the store.
8. You can Email, Print, or Save the PDF Document at this point and it will include payment

Take Payment without Shareable PDF Document:

1. Open an order and tap
2. Select entry method: Insert/Swipe Card
3. Tap button with the icon and says Start Card Reader.
4. Choose your Bolt terminal. The numbers listed must match up with the numbers on the terminal. (Need help  switching to a different terminal?)

   

5. The Bolt terminal screen will indicate when to insert/swipe the card. Insert with the chip facing up. The terminal will indicate when to remove card.

   

6. Enter the payment amount (a) along with the billing postal code (b) and then tap Collect (c) on the app screen to complete the transaction.

   

7. Once processed the receipt will be sent to the store.

   

Additional Information

Switching Terminals: If your device has already been connected with a Bolt Terminal it will try to reconnect with that one by default. If you want to switch terminals, use the side menu and select Disconnect>Forget Card Reader. Then you can select a different terminal.
