How to Use Warehouse Pick Up

Note: This feature requires RFMS version 21.99+

1. Locate the Order

The Warehouse Mobile Pick Up screen allows you to search RFMS Order Entry and locate specific orders. This uses RFMS Smart Search so you can search by name, telephone, order number, etc.

Tap on the order to open it.

2. Select Lines for Pick Up

One or more lines can be selected at a time for pick up. Make sure that the line has a status of Delivered or you will not be able to complete the pick-up process. For the status to be set to Delivered a Picking Ticket must have been printed for the order.

Once you've selected your lines tap the Pick Up button.

Tip: If a line has already had some of the quantity picked up/delivered this will be indicated on the line.

A. Indicate the length or quantity that is being picked up.

B. Enter the name of the person picking up/receiving the order, date, and time.  Tip: The time stamp defaults to your device locale.

C. Optionally add an image or PDF

Tap Pick-Up to proceed to customize the PDF document.

  • Great concept but there are some issues with it in practice:
    1. Locating an order - the filter option of customer type would be a very helpful feature to narrow down jobs quickly (ie. set for jobs classified as Cash & Carry - we already require the classification in BidPro, this is a logical use for it further down the chain)

    2. Not being able to select lines for pick up until the line status shows delivered makes no sense. The whole point is to be mobile - why would I greet a customer, go back to a desktop to find the job and print a pick ticket, and then switch back to the tablet to get their name, date, time (and possibly photo) to complete the pick up? We only want goods showing delivered status when they actually leave the warehouse so doing all the tickets ahead of pickup doesn't work and right now with requiring delivered status instead of "reserved" or "cut" just creates duplication in work.

    3. If a line has already had some of the quantity picked up, it is NOT accurately showing how much was picked up, it will cut/deliver the total amount even if half the order is still sitting there. You would need the ability to split lines in the mobile warehouse app to properly show what was picked up and what is remaining in the warehouse.

  • I totally agree that the line status for an order should go to staged once the picking ticket is printed and warehouse mobile should then allow a pick up status on the app. Once the items are picked up by warehouse mobile function then the ticket should update to delivered.
Moving a ticket to delivered status just to allow it to be picked up in the app doesn't make sense and prematurely shows the items delivered if done in advance to allow the order to be closed.

  • Completely agree. Delivered status should be done in the app. As it is, it doesn't follow RFMS core logic or best practices. It would be great to have this updated ASAP.

  • Being able to cut lines and create a virtual pick ticket in the app would be great. Then being able to Move lines from Staged to Delivered by using the pickup function would be Perfect.

  • This point from Jessica is important:
    3. If a line has already had some of the quantity picked up, it is NOT accurately showing how much was picked up, it will cut/deliver the total amount even if half the order is still sitting there. You would need the ability to split lines in the mobile warehouse app to properly show what was picked up and what is remaining in the warehouse.
When a partial pickup amount it should clearly show in the Desktop version!

  • Absolutely right.
If ERRM has a Staged status, why does the materials have to be in Delivered?
Why won't it move the lines to delivered after a Staged pick up?
Why would it not allow a partial pick-up?
Have these features been updated since this article?

  • As the inventory controller for my company, why in the world do the lines have to be in delivered status? We should be able to do just as we do in core. Lines get set to cut, moved to staged when the ticket is printed, and then delivered when it leaves the building. Please fix this asap!!
