Installer marking individual line items as complete (Job Status per Line Item)

It would be really awesome if we could have the installer check this box or something similar, that would then “complete” the line. This could be a way to have real time invoicing happen from the installer with out them having to hand in paper work. 

Which depending how lines are scheduled (vinyl got done 11/5 but carpet was only getting done on 11/10), same order maybe different crews, and they don’t know what the other did. If the installer could simply check a box for the labor line that is 100% complete, that could really help us manage the orders. Often the entire job gets done, but maybe for some reason the transition wasn’t installed (wrong one ordered)... the installer could complete tear out, install, 1/4 round, but not the install transition. This would allow everyone to see the current status of each line, allow us to pay installers for what they’ve completed, and alert billing of any lines that may not have been needed or completed and follow up accordingly. 

The work orders are awesome in so many way, but I’d really like to get the installer more responsible for get things billed out in a timely manor, and unless my process for that help is impacting when they get paid...it won’t happen all the time. So if their invoice isn’t approved if the lines aren’t marked completed.. they will probably take 2 minutes and check the boxes:)

  • Couldn't agree more.  We split our crews up for different portions of the job so seeing what gets done as the job progresses would be extremely helpful.
